Adrian Sussmann Managing Director Email: as@gpsportsmanagement.com Cell: (404) 641-1365 Adrian Sussmann has 12 years experience in the sports business as an agent representing clients that include top IndyCar drivers, Dario Franchitti and Dan Wheldon. Franchitti has won the Indianapolis 500 twice (2007 & 2010) and the IndyCar Series championship 4 times (2007, 2009, 2010 & 2011). Wheldon won both the Indianapolis 500 and IndyCar Series championship in 2005 and then won at the Brickyard again in 2011. As an agent for professional race car drivers, his main responsibility is to place his clients with teams that have cars capable of winning races! Core competencies include negotiating driver contracts, sponsor agreements, securing endorsement deals and handling business affairs responsibly and professionally. Sussmann has experience working within all the major motorsports in North America, including NASCAR, IndyCar, ALMS, GrandAm, etc. Apart from representing drivers, he also works as a motorsports consultant to Mattel's Hot Wheels brand and a new on-line racing world called "SimRaceway". Prior to working in sports, Sussmann worked for 8 years at KPMG Peat Marwick (4 years in London and 4 years in San Francisco) and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. At KPMG, Sussmann spent 5 years working in audit, including 4 winters working at the head office of Nestle in Vevey, Switzerland. Sussmann also spent 3 years working as a forensic accountant running a team working on a $200m investment fund fraud, reporting directly to the litigation attorneys, Skadden Arps, presenting analyses showing how money was taken and calculating the resulting damages. Sussmann speaks fluent French and has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, which included a Junior year at the University of Pennsylvania. Sussmann is married with two children aged 9 and 7. |
