Secured a swift return to The European Tour after securing his third Challenge Tour title at the 2011 M2M Russian Challenge Cup. Lost his playing privileges in 2010, when he finished 182nd in The Race to Dubai, having retained his card for the previous five seasons. Ended the 2009 season in 111th place in The Race to Dubai, one place higher than the previous season. In 2007, he finished second in the Mallorca Classic not only to secure his card, but also to finish 76th on the money list – which remains a career high. Also retained his playing privileges in dramatic fashion at the end of 2005, when he took the 116th and last place on the money list, beating David Drysdale in 117th place by a mere €586. Lost his card in finishing in 122nd place on the 2006 money list, but made amends at the Qualifying School Final Stage, where he finished 12th. Started playing aged nine with his father and brother Jamie, a professional on the Challenge Tour, at their local course in Hertfordshire. Represented England in 1996 and 1997 prior to turning professional. A self-confessed West Ham fanatic, he is coached by Matt Belsham, the golf coach and resident professional at Whitehill Golf Club.
