Began playing at the age of ten at Mountain Ash Golf Club in South Wales with his dad, David. Could have been a footballer as had trials at 16 with Manchester United, Crystal Palace and Luton, but chose a career in golf, starting a four year scholarship at West Florida University in 1998.

Part of the winning Walker Cup side in 2003, and won his Tour card at the 2004 Qualifying School but came back to the Challenge Tour for the 2006 season.

Career Highlights:

A consolidatory 2006 season was followed by an exceptionally high level of consistency in 2007, including a summer run of seven top ten finishes in eight weeks. Finished the year in style with a tie for second place finish at the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final to end the year in tenth place on the Rankings and regain his European Tour card. Relied on a second successful visit to the Qualifying School – Final Stage in 2008 to retain his playing. Returning to Tour School 2010, to secure his card for 2011.
